Dr. Yvette Fletcher is the driving force behind Medix Urgent Care & Family Health Center. A seasoned healthcare professional with over forty years of experience, Dr. Fletcher brings warmth, expertise, and genuine compassion to her practice. Her clinic offers comprehensive services, from X-rays and EKGs to physicals, IV treatments, vaccines, and CPR certification, all delivered with personal care.
Her nurturing spirit was evident early in life; at just nine years old, she helped care for her great-grandmother, sowing the seeds of a lifelong calling to medicine. After earning her nursing degrees in Jamaica, she gained experience on the frontlines, from hospital wards to challenging community clinics. Later, she advanced her training in the U.S., ultimately earning her MD and Doctor of International Medicine, practising across the Caribbean and the U.S.
Beyond her clinic, Dr Fletcher embarks annually on medical missions with Hope for Humanity, bringing vital care to underserved communities in places like Haiti, Panama, and Jamaica. Her dedication resonates deeply: “If you talk to my clients, they will tell you I have a heart, and I know I have a heart.”
